I would like to close 2017 by extending my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has made our mission possible by your financial support, volunteer hours, and donations. In 2017, we were able to provide meals to over 99,000 people who came to us because they were hungry and/or needed clean clothes or hygiene items for personal use or employment. Because of you, we were able to extend to all of our guest a warm welcome and a smile to ease the the challenges that they faced.
As 2018 comes upon us we will be extending our mission to address the Childhood Hunger issue that plagues over 253,000 children in South Carolina. To bring this statistic home, right here in Horry County, 1 out of every 4 children deal with hunger daily. Our primary mission is to address the hunger issue in our communities. We are excited and thrilled to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of the Grand Strand to provide them with nutritious snacks and meals to the children of our community. I will share more in the upcoming weeks about this partnership. We will continue to serve two hot nutritious meals, breakfast & lunch, five days a week at the Community Kitchen located in the Community Assistance Center. Remember, everything that we do is NOT funded by the City, County, or State. All that we do is only possible because of businesses, churches, foundations, and good people like yourselves who want to make a difference.
Thank you for your support and I wish y’all a New Year that is filled with Peace, Love, and All Good!
